April, 2014
For the third consecutive year, BIC® Razors is partnering with Tough Mudder™, one of the world’s most recognized endurance events, in an effort to raise money and awareness for Wounded Warrior Project® (WWP). The initiative, in which participants get their heads shaved to show support, is part of the “BIC HONORS” program, the charitable giving and community care program of BIC USA Inc.

As Tough Mudder’s official razor, BIC will be hosting its BIC barbershop tent at 20 events nationwide beginning in April 2014. Participants and spectators will have the opportunity to have their heads shaved with a BIC® Flex 4® razor in an effort to raise awareness for WWP, an organization that works to honor and empower this generation of injured service members.

BIC® HONORS Wounded Warrior Project® Through Tough Mudder® Partnership.

"We are proud of our U.S. heritage and want to honor our troops for the sacrifices they make for us every day. Our partnership with Tough Mudder has helped us reach consumers across the country in order to raise awareness for WWP,” said Meghan Barbosa, Brand Manager – Men’s Razors, BIC Consumer Products USA. “Our goal is simple – to do our part in improving the lives of our nation’s heroes and their families through the vital services provided by Wounded Warrior Project.”

For those who aren’t able to attend a Tough Mudder event, virtual head shaves will be available on the BIC Razors Facebook page and will count toward the campaign goal.

Through BIC HONORS, BIC will donate $100,000 to Wounded Warrior Project in 2014. The donation will go toward programs and services for injured service members including combat stress recovery, advocacy, and TRACK, a 12-month education program designed to jumpstart the education and career goals of injured veterans.

BIC’s partnership with Tough Mudder also includes the return of the BIC Flex 4 branded obstacle, Glory Blades. The obstacle involves a series of eight-foot high walls, set on a 45 degree angle, which participants try to scale with the help of their teams.
